1) Tell us about yourself!
My name is Yan Qin. I was born in China. I am a mother of two children with special needs.

2)What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is reading and painting. I like to read Chinese Poetry. I think Chinese culture is very beautiful. I also like to paint. But it's just a hobby, not professionally.

3) What got you interested in music?
I got interested in music when I was in first grade. Because my music teacher taught us alot of nursery rhymes at that time.
‍

4) What has been the biggest thing you've discovered since starting music lessons with us?
The biggest thing I've discovered is just don't limit yourself. Many things seem difficult. Just like learning to play piano. But as soon as you work hard, you will definitely make progress. So is life.

5) What is one of your life goals?
My life goal is to help my children make greater progress. I hope to have an opportunity to help more children with special needs.

6) What would you tell a friend about the Music Academy of Acadiana?
All of the teachers and staff I have met here are so friendly. They are always willing to help you. This is a great place for children and adults to learn music.
