STUDENT OF THE MONTH

1) Tell us about yourself! My name is Rebekah, I go by Bex to friends and Bekah to family. I am 16 and love all different kinds of art.

2) What is your favorite hobby? My favorite hobby is crochet, you may see me at Art Walk as I sometimes have a booth there.

3) What got you interested in music? I’ve been singing since I was about 3 years old, I can’t really pinpoint an exact moment where I became interested in music I’ve always loved to write my own and it’s been the center of my life for as long as I can remember and I adore it.

4) What has been the biggest thing you've discovered since starting music lessons with us?  I have discovered that the teacher you have makes a big difference in how you learn. I always feel free to make mistakes and laugh about it and I have never felt more confident in my voice or my writing because of how much my teacher guided me.

5) What is one of your life goals? One of my life goals is to record and release an album.

6) What would you tell a friend about the Music Academy of Acadiana? I would tell a friend that the Music Academy is the only place that has helped me grow so much under the guidance of Elle.
